Angad Daryani: India’s Youngest Inventor of an Affordable 3D Printer

At the age of 15, Angad Daryani has achieved what is far from inconceivable. But his achievements with the creation of the cheapest 3D Printer did not take a halt; Daryani is the co-creator of the Virtual Brailler and the founder of Shark Kits – a Do It Yourself Kit that encourages invention among young kids. To Daryani his age is just a number and he inspires to achieve much more in the coming years with the help of his supportive parents who have funded his research and work so far.

Angad DaryaniDaryani’s primary focus for developing a 3D printer was that those available in the market were quite expensive and did not provide satisfactory result as per the cost. From here steamed the idea of SharkBot, Daryani’s 3D printer. The plan is still in its initial stage as it will be developed from an ergonomics and product design point of view, and its engineering design is yet to be ready. Daryani’s printer would be capable of printing materials such as ABS, PLA, nylon, HIPS, Laywood and many more stuff.

Daryani preferred homeschooling for which he quit his school as it did not encourage his unconventional hobbies and stressed on rote learning. He says that if he hadn’t actually quit school and joined NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling)/homeschooling, he would not have been able to achieve what has by far. Daryani is an example of excellence and where age does not become a numerical bar anymore. If one has the vision, one can achieve.
