This year IIM Indore conducting the CAT exam and there is lot of changes has been done in the pattern of the CAT 2014 Examination.
Common Admission Test ( CAT) the the premium test for the admission in Management programme at Indian Institute Of Management and also some of the prestigious institute in India. CAT is the India’s most tough test for the admission level. Common admission test is conducted by IIM Every year.
With the changes of pattern, this year CAT is more aspirants friendly. Increase of time as well as pure online application method will help the aspirants a lot.
Major Changes in CAT 2014 :-
- Time duration of the test increased to 170 Minutes from 140 Minutes
- Number of question increased to 50 per section instead of 30
- Only 2 sessions of the Examination instead of 40 sessions previous year
- Candidate can shift from one section to anther during the test
- Application purely online only along with fees payment

Impact of Changes in CAT -2014:-
This year CAT -2014 is aspirant friendly. Increase time line will test the patience but also add some time to think about the answers. switching section is the benefit to the candidate to answer the easy one first and will help to manage the time perfectly. Increased number of question will spread the risk of wrong and will help the student.
Previous year CAT was conducted in 40 sessions through out India , this year it is shifted to only two days.
Applications are available online with the fees payment facilities this year . No need to move around banks to make a DD and send by Post. Candidate can apply through online and also payment the fees by using Credit Card, Net banking and Debit card. This year CAT is purely paper less mode.
There is no changes in Syllabus of the CAT 2014. All the question of the CAT will come from Quantitative ability, Data Interpretation , Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning.
