CBSE plan to welcome open book Exam


CBSE- Central Board of Secondary Education is planning to start open book exam for the class 10 and 12th this year.  The Board already introduced open text based exam in selected subject for class 9 and 11 in this academic year.  This is the first time in the country where school student will face the open book exam.

According to Mr Vineet Joshi, the chairman of CBSE, “It will change the way teaching and learning happens in the classroom “.

What is Open book Exam?

A test, where students are allowed to refer to their Text books, notes or study sheets .

This year CBSE board will focus on teaching methodology and empowering the teachers by training and development program. For any program to be succeeded, teachers must be confident.

Open Book Exam may be give difficulty for evaluation process, but it simplified by detailed marking guide provided by CBSE.

Open book exam will  help the student to address the perfect answer if they are thoroughly study the text book.

The CBSE board also plan to implement international syllabus, CBSE-i , to more 75 schools. It already has been implemented throughout country in 80 schools. There are lot of demand for the course but CBSE not plan to add much more school in to the list.
