“Sky’s the limit for Indian women” says the Google doodle on Children’s Day. Google India homepage celebrated Children’s Day with by putting the theme representing Indian women. The creative theme has been designed by a school student of class from Pune named Gayatri Ketharaman.
The letters were portraying different facets Indian woman – graceful, elegant, adept at balancing work and home and go-getter. Gayatri Ketharaman has been the national winner of Doodle4Google contest for creating the doodle.
Doodle4Google (D4G) is an annual competition organized by Google for the school students. They invited them to design it on the occasion of Children’s Day. Students from different schools from across the country took part in the contest. Total 12 students were selected for its final round. And then the winner got selected. The judges for the contest were the actress Kiran Kher and the political cartoonist Ajit Ninan.
After Gayatri Ketharaman’s doodle titled “Sky’s the limit for Indian women” got awarded, the category 2 kid won the contest for creating the doodle titled ‘Women Are Future, Empower Them Better’, followed by category 3 titled ‘Indian Women Leading Our Country’. The finalists will be awarded with a Google Goodie bag and an Acer C720 Chromebook.
