ELC aims to make Karnataka government school kids proficient in English

Early Learning Centre (ELC) is going to launch a project in association with the School Development Monitoring Committees (SDMCs). The project aims to enable government school students good in speaking English. Looking at the competition in the market, speaking proficient English is like a mandate in today’s world. Under the project, five government schools will be selected, in Gandhinagar, Mannagudda, Surathkal, Kodikkal and Marakada. The students of these five schools will be given English session, to make sure they learn proficient English by the end of Class X.

The coordinator of ELC Ms. Sonia Moras said that the students in government schools specifically face a lot of problems when it comes to English. She said they should not be deprived of any opportunity and to grab every opportunity they need to be prepared for it. Keeping this in mind, they should be made proficient in English by providing different sessions.

Earlier also, ELC had come up with the campaign called ‘Be the change!’ The project was aiming underprivileged children.
