Every year, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra conducts the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) annually for admission to First Year of Full Time Post Graduate Degree Courses in Management (MBA/ MMS) in various institutes of Maharashtra.
MAH CET is a state level Computer Based Test and only applicable to the institute available in Maharashtra State only.
The MAH CET online exam is a window to more than 400 colleges in Maharashtra.
Are You Eligible for MAH CET?
An eligibility check is a must before applying for any of the Examination.
- A Bachelor’s Degree with of minimum three years’ duration or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized authority, with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).
- Candidates awaiting their final year results of any Bachelor’s Degree shall be eligible to apply too.

MAH CET Exam Pattern
The MAH CET entrance examination tests the candidates on a number of areas.
The exam contains the following main sections:
Logical/ Abstract Reasoning- This section tests the logical reasoning skills of the candidates, their speed and accuracy, and their ability to interpret number sequences or the relationship questions based on verbal reasoning.
Quantitative Aptitude- This section tests the candidates’ speed and accuracy with numbers, numerical calculations and their ability to understand various arithmetic problems involving percentages, profit and loss and so on.
The section also measures the candidates’ understanding of quantitative reasoning, interpretation of tables, graphs and charts.
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension- This section tests the candidates’ English language ability and comprehension skills through questions on grammar, vocabulary, sentence correction and so on.
MAH CET Question Pattern
MAH CET contains 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to be answered in 150 minutes. Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking for any incorrect answer.
The paper is divided into four sections and the waightage given to each section is as follows:
