ICAI Announced Second Common Proficiency Test


ICAI Announced Second Common Proficiency Test, which is schedule to be held on 14th December 2014. Common Proficiency test is the first level of Charted Accountancy Examination in India. This CPT will be conducted as per provisions of Regulation 25 D (3) of the Chartered Accountants  Regulations, 1988.

The Test will be conduct in two sessions on Sunday.

 First Sessions ( Morning Session)
         Timings : 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM
         Section A : Fundamental Accounting
         Section B :  Mercantile Law

Second Sessions ( Afternoon Session)
          Timings : 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM
          Section C : General Economics
         Section D :  Quantitative  Aptitude

Candidates are advised to sent all the Filled Applications to the above address on or before 28th Oct 2014. Applications are also can submit to the regional centers of the Institute at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Kanpur, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Ernakulam, Hyderabad,Indore, Jaipur, Nagpur, Pune, Surat, Thane and Vadodara.

There is no provision for acceptance of application forms after 28 th October, 2014 with late fee.

Online application forms are available on www.icaiexam.icai.org . Candidates filling online application , no need have to pay for the Prospectus charges of Rs 500, only Examination fees are applicable for them.

The aforesaid Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is open only to students registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the Common Proficiency Course on or before 1st October, 2014 and fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions.

All the question of the CPT will be Objective type and multiple choice. Test will be conduct in both English as well as Hindi Medium. Candidate must have opt for the choice before the test.
