A defense spokesman stated, “In a distinct initiative, the army based at Baramulla established a meaningful connect with the youth of Baramulla by organizing free tuition classes for needy students of Class X to XII at various schools of Baramulla district.” The decision for providing free tuition to the students of Kashmir has been mainly taken to improve the quality of free education that is provided to people of need in a vast area so have a brighter future prospect.
This initiative of providing free education has been aimed towards an all-round holistic development of the students opting for it. The Indian Army seeks it as a gesture to form a bond with the locals and contribute their society in a constructive way. This will, in turn, improve the over- all state of the country’s education scenario that has been long neglected by the government. Major General Jai Singh Nain, the commanding officer of the 19 division in a recent speech addressed this issue and have asked the Kashmiri students to always dream big.
