Karnataka Govt Decided to provide free college education to more than 1.25 lakh girl students. The free education scheme is applicable for Govt aid colleges as well as private one.
In this scheme the girl students are exempted for the tuition fees and Laboratory fees of the college. The scheme will cost Rs 25 crore additional to the budget. Higher education Minister R.V . Deshpande announced the scheme on Monday.
He also declared to recruit 1298 lectures for the Govt Degree colleges through common Entrance test soon.
Biometric attendance system for lecturers will be extend up to all degree colleges through out Karnataka by this year. The Education monitoring System would also be used to track the progress of the course in each college.
