Few Entrance Examination are conducted by National level and most of the Institute accepts the score for their admission process. Some are by the individual institutes for their own intake of Engineering programs.

JEE Main and JEE Advanced is National Level test whereas BITSAT and KIITEE are individual Tests by the institutes for the Engineering Admission.

These are 10 Engineering Entrance Examination widely accepted by the Engineering Colleges across India.

1. JEE Main

JEE Main  is India’s one of the most challenging entrance test for admission into Engineering programs. JEE MAIN is the Entrance test for the admission to National Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Central Funded Technical Institutes. Selected students from JEE MAIN are eligible for appearing in JEE ADVANCED.

Near about 12 lakh students participated in JEE MAIN Examination in the year 2016. Both Computer Based and Pen and Paper Based test is available for the participants.

JEE Main is accepted by 30 National Institute of Technology, 23 IIT,16 central Govt or State Govt Funded Institutions and various colleges across India for admission into Engineering programs.

Eligibility For JEE Main :-

To participate in JEE Main Examination, a candidate must have passed final Examination of Class 12th. Need to have at least 75% of marks in the examination to appear the JEE MAIN Exam. whereas For SC/ST it should be 65%.

One can appear maximum 3 times in JEE Main Examination.

2. JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced considered as the toughest Entrance Test for Engineering admission. Only qualified candidates of JEE Main are eligible to take the Examination.

JEE Advanced Score is used for admission into 23 IIT’s in India for Engineering Programs.

3. BITSAT

BITSAT is a computer based Test conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science for the admission into Integrated first degree Engineering programs at Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad Campus.

Eligibility For BITSAT :-

Candidates having a minimum 75% marks in PCM in class 12th will be eligible to attain the test.

Every year applications are invited in the month of January and Exam held on May month.

4. VITEEE

VITEEE is conducted by Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai for the admission into Engineering Programs of the Institute. 5000 Engineering Seats are available and treated as one of the best Private Engineering College in India.

Eligibility for VITEEE Exam :-

For appearing in VITEEE Exam, a candidate must be secured 60% Marks in +2 Examination whereas for SC/ST/OBC it is 50%.

5. WBJEE

WBJEE is the entrance examination for Engineering and B Pharma courses for West Bengal State. It is the state wise Entrance Examination. Private and State Govt funded institutes are accepting the score of WBJEE for their Engineering Admission process.

It is only applicable for institutes situated in west Bengal State.

Eligibility For WBJEE:-

There are various eligibility criteria for different subjects but one common eligibility is, Candidate must be passed +2 Examination from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized university.

Depends on different departments of engineering, percentage of marks of +2 will be considered for admission process.

6. MHT-CET

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is commonly known as MHT-CET conducted by Govt of Maharashtra. The entrance test is only applicable in Maharashtra State. The scorecard is applicable for the admission into Health Sciences (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP, BP&O and BSc. Nursing, B.V.Sc. & AH) and Technical Education (Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Pharma courses.

7.KCET

Karnataka Common Entrance Test is known as KCET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority, used for admission into Engineering programs of Institute situated in Karnataka State.

This test is only applicable for resident students of Karnataka only. Other state students can apply if they studied 7 years in Karnataka.

8. APEAM-CET

APEAM-CET is the entrance test for admission into  Engineering, Agriculture and Medical programs of Institute situated in Andhra Pradesh.

The test is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

9. UPSEE

UPSEE is state level Entrance examination for admission into Engineering, B Pharm and Management programs of Institute situated in Uttar Pradesh State.

10. KIITEEE

KITEEE is the Entrance test for Engineering and medical Admission for Kalinga Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar.It is the individual test for KIIT college. KITEEE is completely computer based Test.

Eligibility Criteria for KITEEE:-

Candidate must have passed +2 with a minimum 60% marks. Different Eligibility Criteria is applicable for Different courses, Follow the notification for course wise eligibility.
