Daughter of 43- year- old Arun, a radiologist at Colchester General Hospital, and mother Erika Kottiath, who is an associate director at Barclays Bank in United Kingdom, Lydia made her parents proud when she joined the rank of the 1% who have the highest score in the mental ability test. Lydia scored 162 which is the current maximum score that anybody has obtained, beating IQ score of Einstein and Hawking who were at 160.
Lydia said that at first she was really nervous, but once the test started she became much more relaxed and said “I gave it my best shot.” She started reading books from a very early age and has interest in mathematics and physics. Originally from Kerala, both her parents were really astonished as she managed to attain such a score without much assistance regarding studies from anybody in particular. But her parents have admitted that she has been studious and dedicated from the very beginning.
Lydia, a student of Colchester County High school for girls, about to start her eighth year at school, is now currently also preparing to join the Mensa society. We can only hope that this girl can achieve greater heights in the future, bringing more glory to both India and United Kingdom. With proper nurture and her continued dedication for education, she is sure to attain greater feats making everybody proud.
