Online application for the NEET-PG 2019 exam has been started form 2nd November 2018 by National Board of Examinations. Applicants with MBBS Degrees can now access and submit the online application on or before 22nd November 2018.

Previously, the Board has cleared the air about the NEET–PG Exam date. On 6th January the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate (NEET-PG) 2019 will be held.

How to apply NEET-PG 2019 According to the official notice, “NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section (10) of Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to these courses”.

However, the medical colleges or institutions below-mentioned are not “covered by centralized admissions for Doctor of Medicine (MD), and Masters of Surgery (MS) seats through NEET-PG”.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test PG 2019 application process consists of 6 important steps.

  • Step I – Registration
  • Step II – Filling in Fields with Personal and Educational Details

  • Step V – Uploading Documents
  • Step VI – Printout of Acknowledgement Page

Note: Candidates must note that applications should be submitted via online mode. There is no other option (print copy or offline mode) for submitting the NEET PG 2019 application form.

Step-by-step Guide to Fill in NEET-PG 2019 Application Form

You must follow the steps carefully to ensure that your application form has been submitted successfully. Also, candidates are encouraged to read out the Information Bulletin before moving ahead with the procedure.

Step I – Registration:

  • Visit the official website of NBE http://www.natboard.edu.in/
  • Click on ‘NEET PG’
  • You will be directed to the ‘NEET-PG Login Page’
  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ link for registration.
  • Candidates who have already registered can simply choose the other option, i.e. ‘Applicant Login’ using Candidate ID, Password and Captcha.
  • To get a ‘unique login ID’ for the exam Fresh applicants must register themselves.
  • After the unique login ID is created, candidates can utilize the same right in their email and mobile inbox.
  • They need to change the password and login to complete the application process.

Step II – Filling in Fields with Personal and Educational Details

  • In step number II aspirants are required to enter their personal details such as
    • Name of the Candidate
    • Mother’s Name
    • Father’s Name
    • Contact Details – mobile number and email ID
    • Category
    • DOB

After filling in personal details, click the ‘Proceed’ button to enter academic qualification details.

Note: Candidates should make sure that all the details provided by them are correct as providing wrong information will result in the rejection of the application form.

Step III – Payment

  • Candidates need to pay the fee via online mode.
  • Candidates can use credit or debit card or net banking to complete the process.
  • INR 3,750/- will be charged as Application Fee for General and OBC Categories
  • Application Fee for SC/ST/PWD – INR 2,750/-

During the online payment process, if an applicant makes payment for multiple times, NBE will refund their money within 15 days after due verification.

But, no refund will be made if more than one application form is submitted by the particular candidate.

The Board says, “Appropriate action shall be taken against the candidates who have submitted their application form multiple times”.

Step IV – Selecting Exam City

Based on the availability of seats on the given date of the submission of the application form aspirants can select their preferred exam centers or cities.

The selection of the examination center will solely be on first come and first serve basis.

Step V – Uploading Documents

Here, candidates need to upload the scanned images of the passport photograph, left thumb impression, and signature. The digital photographs must meet the specifications prescribed by the Board.

The details are given below–

  • Passport-size Photo: It should be in JPEG or JPG or GIF or PNG format with 50-100 kb size and 5X4.5 cm dimension.
  • Signature Photo: It should be in JPEG or JPG or GIF or PNG format with 10-50 kb size and 6X3 cm dimension.
  • Left Thumb Impression Photo: It should be in JPEG or JPG or GIF or PNG format with 10-50 kb size and 6X3 cm

Step VII – Printout of Acknowledgement Page

After successfully making the payment, uploading the images and filling all the required details, candidates will need to take a printout of the confirmation page for future use.

NEET-PG 2019 Correction Window

As per NBE, No correction window will be open to edit, modify or alter the information put by the candidates.

In the words of the Board, “NBE will not entertain, under any circumstances, any request for the change in the information provided by the candidates. If any information is incorrect and needs to be updated, click the “Edit Profile” or “Edit”.

However, it is possible to make the required changes before the last date of the application form submission.

Vital Instructions for Filling NEET PG Application Form

  • The NEET-PG application process is completely online.
  • Applications that are sent or submitted offline will not entertain by NBE.
  • To fill the form Candidates need to visit the official website, i.e. nbe.edu.in
  • Applicants need to take a printout of the filled application form till NEET-PG 2019 counseling process is done. Details mentioned on the form will be required for All India 50% Quota Registration.
  • You should keep the credit/debit/net banking details ready beforehand as the payment will be made online only.
  • Keep the scanned copies of the recent passport-size photograph, signature, and left thumb impression.

NEET-PG Application Form Essential Documents and Their Specifications

For an easy and hassle-free process the MBBS aspirants are advised to keep all essential documents ready. They need the scanned images of the recent passport-size photograph, signature, and left thumb impression.

Instructions for Scanning Signature, Photograph, and Left Thumb Impress

The uploaded passport-size photograph only be accepted by NBE if it is obtained through

  • Webcam or digital camera
  • Scanning a physical photo

Photo through Digital Camera

  • If you are using a webcam or digital camera to take the photo the resolution must be set to the highest level.
  • The background must be white, and there’s ample light for a great picture.
  • The size of the photo should be in between 50-100 KB.

Scanning Physical Photo 

  • Use a Passport-size colour photo with a clearly visible face.
  • The photo should be less than 6 months old.
  • It should be in JPEG, JPG, PNG and GIF format.
  • The dimension of the photo should be 3.5X4.5 cm.
  • Scanner DPI should be 200.

Signature Guidelines

  • Make your signature on a white paper sheet within a box of 6×3 cm.
  • The preferred size is 10-50 KB.
  • It should be in JPEG, JPG, PNG and GIF format.
  • Scanner DPI should be 200.
  • No overwriting will be allowed.
  • The signature should not be in BLOCK LETTERS.

Left Thumb Impression Guidelines

  • Use black or blue ink for left thumb impression on a white paper sheet within a box of 4X3 cm.
  • The size must be within 10-50 KB.
  • It should be in JPEG, JPG, PNG and GIF format.
  • Scanner DPI should be 200.

Parameters to Check Scanned Images

Even after following the guidelines sometimes most candidates fail to keep up with the right size and dimension. So, here is how to be sure that the images you have uploaded are of the ideal sizes and dimensions

Check below steps –

  • Before uploading ‘right click’ on the particular image
  • Go to ‘Properties’
  • Here, you will be able to see the size, file type or format and dimension.

NEET-PG 2019 Admit Card

The NEET PG admit card 2019 will be issued to the candidates who make successful online submission of the application form.

Hall tickets will be issued only after the test centers are allotted by the Board. The tentative date for the admit card to be released is on 2nd January 2019.

The call letters will be sent on the registered email IDs of the applicants. Download the same and affix the latest passport-size photo in the right place.

Specifications of Passport Photo for Admit Card.

  • At least, 35X45 mm size with 75% face and head coverage
  • The admit card should have the candidate’s name and date of taking the photo at the bottom.
  • The photo should not have stains, scratches, kinks, and reflections.

NEET-PG Eligibility Criteria – Who Can Fill Application Form?

  • Nationality – Candidate must be an Indian National
  • Academic Qualification –
    • You must have passed NEET-UG 2019 or hold an MBBS degree from an institute recognized by MCI Act, 1956
    • Must have a one-year internship or about to complete the internship
    • All India 50% Quota Seats are not available for Candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and J&K.
  • Age Qualification –

Anyone who fulfills the qualification mentioned above can take the test. There is no upper age limit for the entrance exam.
