CET was postponed following the strike announced by all central trade unions and KSRTC workers on April 30th. The CET as previously stated was supposed to happen on April 29, 30 and May 1st as per the schedule. But the recently declared strike of the workers union has disrupted these dates, making the students preparing for seeking entrance into reputed institutions face serious trouble.
The postponement of CET 2015 due to the proposed trade union strike has left many engineering aspirants severely stressed and crunched for time. The reason being various entrance tests to premier engineering colleges are lined up back to back now. With very little time for preparation in between exams, students face dilemma whether appearing for all the prestigious entrance test can it even be possible?
The whole point in sitting for multiple examinations is to ensure that one gets through somewhere. But with the ComedK scheduled for May 10th, the Birla Institute Technology and Sciences’ BITSAT online entrance examination slated between May 14th and 29, along with PES University’s PESSAT entrance examination dated between May 2 and 20, students are toiling to complete their preparation beforehand.
It will be an intense week of entrance tests for students. JEE Advance test is on May 24th. Now with the CET dates rescheduled, students won’t have much time to prepare for JEE Advance. This way, many students might miss out on making it through IIT this year. The CET now dated on May 12th and 13th is to taken as the only alternative as no other dates were available for the examination. Students thus bear the ultimate burden which might affect their future job prospects.
