The last date of filling the Joint Entrance Exam JEE-Main-2016 online form has been shifted from 31st December to January 11 by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Along with this now the attempts for taking the JEE have been increased; candidates can now take a shot at this entrance test thrice, instead of twice. With such major changes, the board is trying to ease the process for candidates appearing for JEE.
These major changes have been initiated so that candidates have better chances at passing the exam. JEE is considered one of the toughest exams of the country. Previously applicants had to fill the online form by December 31. The Central Board of Secondary Education had asked the candidates to visit the official website www.jeemain.nic.in to submit their application forms. As stated in the website JEE (Main) paper I and paper II offline exam will be conducted on Sunday, April 3, 2016, and paper I online exam will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016, and Sunday, April 10, 2016.
Earlier only two attempts were allowed to clear the exam, but now candidates can attempt it three times. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common engineering entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges including IITs, NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical institutions and institutions funded by several participating state governments. Hopefully, these changes would make the process a bit easier.
