NET 2015 is scheduled to be held on 27th December 2015 for this year. CBSC conducting the examination on behalf of UGC for eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. NET 2015 Examination will be conducted in 83 subjects at 88 Selected cities throughout India.

The Qualified candidate is eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor.

The Test will be consists of 3 papers having objective type questions only. First and Second session will be 100 marks each whereas 3rd session will be 150 Marks.

Paper I consist of reasoning, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness. The candidate would be required to answer 50 questions out of 60. First 50 attempt questions will be considered if candidate attempts more than 50. All questions will carry 2 marks each. 

Paper II consists of 50 objective type questions from the subject selected by the candidates. All questions are compulsory and will carry 2 marks each. 

Paper III consists of 75 objective type questions from the subject selected by the candidates. All questions are compulsory and will carry 2 marks each. 

The questions of Paper II and Paper III will be completely from the subject selected by the candidates and will cover entire syllabus of the NET 2015.
