Parul and MS University of Gujrat bag grants from European Commission under Erasmus Plus programme. They are the only two universities from the state to receive the crucial grant that would help these institutions to get better international exposure. The students and teachers from these universities would get major support from international institutions facilitating better educational provision.
MSU has been granted a total of 50,200 Euros that would benefit the undergraduate, doctorate students and staff of the university to pursue educational prospects in Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV), Spain under the mobility programme. This is a massive step forward and provides a fantastic opportunity to both students and the teaching staff to widen their scope of knowledge through international exposure.
Parul University bagged the grant of Rs 58 lakh, becoming the first private institution in the state to engage in cooperation and mobility programme with Wroclaw University of Technology (WrUT), Poland. These programmes will help the students and staff to spend a considerable about of time abroad to hone their skills and improve on chances of getting better employment.
Students and staff from MSU would get a grant of Euros 1,100 each as the scholarship to support them abroad. The mobility programme will start from January 2016 to May 2017. A group of 10 students would go from PU to WrUT and two doctorate students along with four faculty members would be visiting PU from Poland through this scheme. This is a fabulous opportunity and more such exchange programmes should be encouraged in the future with proper funding like these.
