VIT formerly known Vellore Engineering College is a well renowned deemed and Indian Institute of higher education. The college is well acclaimed for its University Campus and the infrastructure present. The VIT Engineering Entrance Examination ( VITEEE 2015 ) is going to be held from 8th of April to 19th of April this year. The entrance exam is going to take place at 134 centers in 112 cities which includes Dubai and Kuwait said the VIT University chancellor.
A total of 1.93 lakh applications were received which is quite baffling response. The exam will take place through a computer-based test for Bachelor of Technology programme at VIT University. They have witnessed highest number of registrations of 27,604 from Uttar Pradesh and second highest was from Andhra Pradesh followed by Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. When we consider cities Delhi has a lead with 14,219 applications and second was Hyderabad with 13,846 followed by Chennai with 6,229 application.
“Despite the high potential of India to cater to international students, only 1 percent come to the country to pursue higher education. An independent centralised accreditation is needed along with there being no by bias” said Vishwanathan the founder and chancellor of VIT University. He also said that he will be presenting his thoughts to the HariGoatam Committee. The committee which was appointed by the Union Ministry of Human resource development analyse the Stature of U.G.C.
