Norwegian Embassy is looking forward to build collaborations with top Indian institutes after the meeting of Prime Minister of India and Norway in April this year.
Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) has signed a MoU with Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur to boost the research and education.
On 11th October IIT KGP Deputy Director, Professor Sriman Kumar Bhattacharya and NTNU Rector Dr. Gunnar Bovin signed the Mou in New Delhi in the presence of Nils Ragnar Kamsvg, Ambassador of Norway to India.
The major highlights of this MoU revolve around research topics such as Hydro Power, Ocean Modelling, Deep Sea Resources, and Marine Technology and NTNU are excellent in this field.
According to Prof Bhattacharya, three departments of IIT KGP including the Department of Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture, the Center for Oceans, Rivers, Atmosphere and Land Science and the Department of Civil Engineering works on these areas.
Both of these institutes are looking forward to exploring the more areas of these fields in the future.
