Form 2018, NEET is conducted by NTA – National Testing Authority.
NEET is conducted for Undergraduate courses as well as Post Graduate courses for admission into Medical courses.

Qualification Requirement for NEET UG courses
Eligibility information will also guide you to take the subjects at 10+2 level for the candidates those are interested in a Career in Medical science.
The requirement of Age:-
He/she has completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
Upper age limit for NEET UG is 25 years as on the date of examination. 5 Year age relaxation is provided for SC/ST/OBC & PWD candidates.
Educational Qualification Requirements:-
10+2 is the qualifying Examination for NEET – UG Exam.
NEET – UG Aspirants must have passed 10+2 Exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as compulsory subjects.
Those are having Biology/ Biotechnology as additional subjects are not eligible to apply for the test.
Note that, Biology / Biotechnology must be your Compulsory subject with Physics and chemistry to apply for the NEET – UG Exam.
Candidates must have 50% marks in aggregate taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology at the Qualifying Exam.
40% marks will be considered for SC/ST/OBC candidates whereas 45% marks will be considered for Person with Disability Candidates.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 from open school or as Private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for NEET – UG.
But a Candidate from National Institute of Open Schooling or state open schools or as a private candidate from the recognized state board or with Biology/Biotechnology as an additional subject shall be allowed but subject to the outcome of special leave petitions/ Appeals filled by the medical council of India.

There are 3 concepts of reservation you will find in NEET – UG Exam.
- Reservation of Seats in Government Medical Colleges under 15% all India Quota
- Admission in State Medical Colleges/Universities/Institutions/Private Medical Colleges for seats other than 15 % All India Quota
- Admissions to Deemed Universities/Central Universities/State of ESIC and AFMC including BHU and AMU

Reservation of Seats in Government Medical Colleges under 15% all India Quota
List of Merit will be prepared at the time of Admission/Counselling with consideration of reservation for different categories.
- 15% Seats are reserved for SC Candidates
- 7.5 % seats are reserved for ST Candidates
- 27% Seats in central Educational Institutions are reserved for OBC Candidates. Reservation would be applicable to the caste mentioned in the Central list of OBC.
- 5% seats of annual sanctioned intake shall be filled by candidates falling under Persons with BenchMark disabilities.
Admission in State Medical Colleges/Universities/Institutions/Private Medical Colleges for seats other than 15 % All India Quota
Admissions under state quota seats shall be subject to reservation policy and eligibility criteria as per state Govt notification.
Admissions to Deemed Universities/Central Universities/State of ESIC and AFMC including BHU and AMU
Admission to Deemed Universities/Central Universities/ESIC including DELHI UNIVERSITY (DU), BHU & AMU will be conducted by DGHS and reservation policy will be as per rules and regulations of the concerned University or Institution. Candidates should register on MCC website for admission to Deemed / Central University/ ESIC and AFMC.
Admission to AFMC, Pune shall be subject to the norms prescribed by the Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Candidates who apply for NEET (UG) – 2019 and/or for seeking admission in AFMC will also have to apply to AFMC on www.afmc.nic.in/www.afmcdg1d.gov.in.
The shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a second stage Screening Test conducted by AFMC. Candidates are advised to contact AFMC for further and exact details.
